August 2006: Volunteers for a Language Study

We are looking for native GERMAN and native ENGLISH speakers to participate in a study on language processing. The study is currently running and it involves Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), a non-invasive method of stimulating the brain using relatively focal magnetic fields to determine the contribution a brain region makes to a language task. You will be asked to perform a simple language task in your native language.

We are looking for healthy right-handed native German speakers and native English speakers between the ages of 18 and 65 who would be interested in volunteering to participate in this study. We pay £20 and the session takes between 1 and 1.5 hours. For further information or to volunteer, please contact Dr. Gert Westermann (email: gert.westermann@psy.ox.ac.uk, phone: 271 393).

Help others with their research!

I was the first "guinea pig" for the study on July 20th. I think it's a great idea to help those people with their research. Plus they're very friendly and even pay you for helping them.
