Hello, I am Naveen and am proposing to work as the IT Officer in the MCR executive committee this year.

I hail form an IT background. Having completed my under graduation in Computer Science, I worked full time as an engineer in a software firm for more than a year. As a software engineer, I got an opportunity to work on a host of web-based technology tools and applications. I am currently studying Computer Science at the Computing Laboratory. Therefore I think I have the relevant skills to work as the IT Officer for Exeter MCR.

I have come to realise that the work of an IT Officer though minimal, is yet very
crucial for a powerful body like the MCR. Please find the following tasks I intend to do if elected as the IT Officer:

To see that the mailing list is updated on a timely basis thereby insuring that messages of communication reach every member of the MCR.

To maintain and update the MCR Website on a constant basis so that the website is more user friendly, shows current and appropriate information. I am also open for comments and suggestions you may have on the current look and feel of the MCR Website.

To see that the online voting system runs smoothly during elections.

To try and take enough measures in order to avoid any kind of system crashes.

To be approachable and open to suggestions from all the members of the MCR.
