January 2008: Telethon

Are you CHATTY & FRIENDLY?
Do you need WORK EXPERIENCE & CASH?
Do you want to have FUN?

Then we have the job for you: chatting to Old Members for a few hours an evening on the 'phone (we'll even pay you for it!)

New: apply online!

From 8th-20th March 2008 12 students will be calling around 1000 Old Members to let them know what's going on at Exeter at the moment. We'll also be asking for their support - both financially and in terms of their commitment to the College through giving advice, attending events and offering student internships.

Last year we raised over £130k to provide hardship grants, maintain the tutorial system and to improve the buildings we live and work in. This year, we hope to raise even more to ensure that Exeter and its students continue to flouish and excel over the coming years...but we also expect to have a lot of fun too - Old Members like to hear about the College today, and many have interesting experiences to share.

It's a great job - just ask anyone who did it last year! Full training is given and no experience is needed - and be encouraged - it's nothing like double-glazing tele-sales. Pay is excellent at £6.87ph (plus a reliability bonus at the end), and you'll be working around 23hrs pw so there'll still be time to get some work done as well as spend the hard earned cash. The campaign ends on Thursday 20th March so you will finish in time to enjoy the long Easter weekend!

For more information, please download the job description and application form, email Laurelle Vingoe in the Development Office (laurelle.vingoe@exeter.ox.ac.uk), or drop in to 11:5. You can also apply online.
