The Oxford University Volleyball Club and the Oxford City Council organise the 4Max grass volleyball tournament. The tournament is open to absolutely everyone and we hope to get lots of participants!

There will be a first student connections session for all students of the college who wish to connect a personal computer to the network for this academic year.

The session will be held on Thursday 21st September at 11.30am - 4.00pm in the Quarrell Room in college.

The connection session is open to all continuing students of the college (graduate and undergraduate) who are in Oxford already, plus any fresher graduates who are already in Oxford. We shall ask you to fill in a relevant
form when you arrive.

The event takes place in the Oxford University Examination Schools, a magnificent building on High Street. The event is primarily intended for university clubs and societies to showcase their activities and recruit new members. All new students are entitled to attend. Tickets for the fair will be posted in your pigeonholes.

The fair lasts for two days, with an additional day of Refreshers' Fair for non-freshers.

Meet in the MCR for pre-dinner drinks at 6.45. Dinner is served at 7.30 in the Hall (freshers only, dress code: Formal & Gown). Then carry on the night at the Freshers' Ball, Freuds - Tickets available from Ash (£10)

On Saturday 7th October from 12 until 4pm there will be the chance for anyone who wants to give rowing a go to come down to the Exeter College boat house and see what the sport is all about. Just meet in the lodge at about 11.45 and members of the boat club and JCR will be there to show you the way.

It's our first bop this year and the theme is uniforms.
Think firemen, doctors, back-to-school, army, navy... We promise you it's just the first of many themed bops you'll go to in Oxford so start practicing dressing up. There are drinks offers for the first half hour so get there early!

The first Rector's seminar of term, on Sunday at 4.30, features an Exeter College graduate with a glamorous career. James Astill, who did an English degree here, has spent the past two years reporting for The Economist from Iraq and Afghanistan. He will talk about working in those two very dangerous countries.
